Product description

CO2 Generator Model 0,75 GAS

Hotbox CO2 Generators enrich the ambient air with CO2 in order to stimulate the growth of plants.

The air in the atmosphere consists of 0.038% (380 ppm) of carbon dioxide (CO2).
CO2 is one of the two basic substances that are necessary for the photosynthesis of plants (the other being water).
A plant consumes CO2 only if there is light. Photosynthesis occurs immediately after the plant is exposed to light.
The plant begins to absorb CO2 from the air by the opening of pores, small organs that are mainly to the underside of the leaf surface located. These pores to function in much the same manner as the pores in your own skin.
They regulate the absorption of water and the gases O2 and CO2 in the plant and also the emission of water and O2 from the plant.

When CO2 is incorporated into the plant, it is directed to the chloroplasts. These are the parts of the plant which possess the light-absorbing chlorophyll. This is where photosynthesis occurs.

Photosynthesis consists of a complex series of reactions in which the energy of light is used to carbon dioxide and water in order to put into sugars. It comes as a byproduct of oxygen free.

The amount of CO2 in the air has a profound effect on the photosynthesis and growth of the plant. Photosynthesis speeds when increases the amount of CO2 in the air, as long as there is enough light to provide the energy. Conversely, when the amount of CO2 in the air decreases, the photosynthesis runs back to stop in the end when there is a concentration of about 200 ppm is reached.
What the other circumstances are: they do not matter here. Breathing a shortage of CO2 and plants grow for a while yet by, but they do have consumed their sugars. Thereafter, the metabolism slows down in order to save energy. Only when again more CO2 is available, the process of growth takes off again.

Plants can only absorb CO2 as it is present in the immediate vicinity. CO2 is heavier than air and therefore will go to the bottom. is a good air circulation is of great importance for the best results.

For larger areas, multiple Hotboxen can be used, all connected to a single gas supply.
