PROACTIV filters only use activated carbon made from food grade coconuts. These are considered the best carbon to remove organic odor. The particles of activated carbon in the PROACTIV filters are very small (0.4 to 0.8 mm).
The odor neutralizing surface is therefore much larger compared to traditional carbon filters. The multilayer fleece mats are sealed airtight in the base and lid and prevent accidental intake or emission of (unfiltered) air.
The fleece mats technology reduces the air pressure so that the airflow is much higher compared to classic carbon filters.
